Fees

Fees range from $5,000 for the smallest works to over $100,000 for large, full length portraits and large, complex subject paintings. Terms: a non-refundable fifty percent deposit (plus any applicable sales tax) is required to begin work. The remaining fifty percent is due upon completion.  Prices do not include travel expense, framing, crating or shipping. 

For portraiture, an initial meeting is scheduled to gain insights into the sitter's expectations and desires for the portrait. Jeff Bass will offer his artistic sensibilities to guide the design of the painting, with a view to aligning the goals of the artist and sitter toward a common vision for the finished portrait. 

Mr. Bass prefers to work from life, when possible, completing sketches and color studies. That work product is supplemented with photography, which alleviates the client from the burden of lengthy sittings. Mr. Bass can travel to the client anywhere in the world. Sketches, studies and photos inform the painting's overall design which is submitted to the client for final approval.
